From an ex-trainer’s point of view

From an ex-trainer’s point of view

You don’t have to be a trainer if you want to work with cetaceans. Today, I am going to tell you about an article I read at the time it was published in December 2012. I particularly liked this article because it shows an approach on a child. When I talk about captivity to the people around me, I notice it’s kind of hard to launch the first argument. I don’t really know where to begin, fearing I might bore…

Blackfish

Blackfish

I often talk about SeaWorld. When I talk about it, I mean the group SeaWorld. The one that has 3 sites in the United-States and possesses orcas in other marine parks of the world, including Loro Parque, Spain, where Morgan is held. Dolphins need our help

Dolphins need our help

You’ve all heard about the dolphin slaughter happening in Taiji, Japan. But have you heard about the one which happened on the 21st on January 2013, in Fanelei village, Solomon Islands? Cleaning the tanks

Cleaning the tanks

Last October, I read and saw photographs about the draining of tanks in dolphinariums. SeaWorld and Marineland surely don’t mention that to their customers. Oh no. I was busy writing other articles but I always kept that one in the back of my head. Since I’ve more or less presented Ric O’Barry in an article dated on the 18th of January 2013, I thought it was time to mention the one about the cleaning of tanks, since Ric O’Barry…

Shep the Dolphin

Shep the Dolphin

For all those who tend to lump the Japanese together, here’s a little article that should change your mind. Here’s the link to Shep The Dolphin’s Facebook page, a group of Japanese activists who are standing up against the massacres happening in The Cove. Each status is written so as to think that this is Shep the dolphin who’s writing. “Please take a moment to think about my cousins who were taken from the ocean today.” Support them by liking…
